Match Report
Eastern 48-14 Kent
Eastern Raiders secured their second London League win of the season with a comfortable win over Kent Ravens, capitalising on a
strong first half performance. Kyle Hutchins scored in the first minute and Raiders crossed five more times for a 32-0 half-time
lead.
However, after a stirring half time team talk between the players, the second half started a lot more brightly for the Ravens, and
their first try of the afternoon was scored by Joe Oxford. This try gave them a foothold in the match and soon after a second try
was scored by Phil Nicholls. At this point the Ravens were dominating the match and it looked like a comeback was on the cards.
However, A brace of Jonathan Freshwater tries for the Raiders put the game out of reach, although Joe Oxford did score one more try
for the Ravens, goaled by captain Darren Griffin.
