Eastern R 10-44 Bedford II

The Eastern Raiders had their first outing in the London League against Bedford Tigers A, but were second best to a much better prepared side.  Play was pretty even for much of the first half, tries by Pete Seymour and Vinnie Geaves countered by two for Bedford, but two more tries for the visitors before half time gave them a 14 point lead at the break.

The second half saw the Raiders defend manfully but the bigger Bedford players began to dominate and ran out worthy winners. The Raiders play their next game against Kentish Tigers in Maidstone next Saturday.
